About your consultant

From a very early age Pauline Thomas has had an inclination towards music and especially so as she was brought up in a musical family. Her father, cousins, uncles and other relatives across the globe have been and are currently pursuing music as singers, songwriters, musicians and producers. Music is her family heritage. Her formative years observing her father and being actively involved as a singer with his gospel band and her involvement in the recording process of his album, have given her an invaluable insight into the world of music. Being brought up in a musical family only heightened her inner passions to pursue a career in music and she later went on to sing with various gospel choirs in the UK. Building on her family heritage she went on to emulate her father by writing her own songs and later recording her first single “Just A Prayer Away” and a second release titled “Fret Not”. Pauline has many innovative ways of being creative and does not believe that everything is cut in stone. She states “There are many ways to skin a cat” as she observes the current music industry. She pursued a degree in music management and graduated with flying colours due to her experience in music. Her studies have complimented the plethora of practical experience which she has.

Following her studies, she went on to work with The Mechanical Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) and the Musicians Union which gave her practical experience and further insights into the music industry and its workings. Following her time at the music organisations Pauline took the plunge to become an independent consultant and event manager. This initiative led her to being stage manager for Estiban lindsey a singer in Canada, on-site manager for an awards ceremony in Canada, and event planner and on-site manager for a gospel concerts in Jamaica, along with the Progressive National Baptist Convention week-long conference in London, which included Jesse Jackson from the US.
